The Testing Pool on Ravelry is a busy spot where designers and test knit knitters get together to work out any bugs and issues with new designs. I like to pop over and see what is happening and occasionally volunteer for a test knit. Hats are usually my choice as they tend to be small projects and do not require a large amount of yarn and usually I have something in my stash that will suit. Having test knit the following hats I am delighted to say the patterns are now available to purchase and are really nice designs.
First up is Autumn Smile designed by Agata Mackiewicz – Link is here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/autumn-smile. Agata is a new designer and this cute little hat has a lovely textured pattern and a cable panel. This is a quick knit but also interesting enough to keep your attention.
Next up is Maple Majesty by Karen Heimburger – Link is here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/maple-majesty. This is a lovely set of fingerless gloves and a nice slouchy beanie. Nice aran pattern with lots to keep you interested. My yarn choice for this hat was Donegal Soft so maybe not as drapey as it could have been but still a nice outcome for a very nice pattern.
