Low Winter Sun

In search of inspiration for colour combinations for a new project I took a walk in Marley Park last week.   It was early afternoon a perfect time for gathering shadows and glimpses of low winter sun.

Many trees have lost almost all their leaves and the angry reds of early autumn have been replaced by more muted gold, yellow and copper.  Lots of red berries signaled a cold winter ahead and the glossy deep green leaves reflect the dying rays of light.

I did find my inspiration in a little patch of Cyclamen hiding in the shadows.  Marley is a magical place with fantastic light even on a grey day and surprises hidden in the twists and turns of its paths.
